There are many rituals associated with seeking to evoke divine inspiration using evil as the methods. Yet of all the methods used, one stands out as the historically most powerful evil act in evoking the short path.  

Considering all the previous wisdoms, there is no special power evoked upon human sacrifice. Whether demons appear or not, whether events occur around the ceremony or not. Understanding why

Murder is a crime. Child murder is a most horrific crime against humanity. Nor does such action produced genuine divine wisdom. Instead, the euphoria experienced by such people performing such crimes could be compared to drug addicts getting a hit. More often than not, the information they think is profound is simply babbling rubbish with no intrinsic value in prophecy, power or knowledge.

It is why the wisest of magicians avoid human sacrifice and instead understand that smooth and settled waters provide the best entrance into the unlimited and interconnected kingdom of the Universal Mind.

Of course, to ignorant and wholly inept men who find themselves in power of human sacrifice often appears too tempting.
