| To the most ancient and learned of priests and priestesses of black magic, there remains a mystery and a knowledge concerning human blood that continues to be passed down from age to age. | ||
| In mystical Judaism there remain secret blood rites concerning the power of blood and in particular by some artisans of dark worship who reverse the ritual of Passover back one of human sacrifice. | ||
| Then there are the highly secret human sacrifices of Catholic Black Mass and the associated emphasis on the fresh blood of the victims. | ||
What then is the essential understanding of these rituals and apart from the euphoria experienced by those who participate, what is the underlying "wisdom" they seek to access: |

| Fresh human blood is the seat of the soul (mind) | ||
| Living human blood is a natural transmitter of knowledge and medicine | ||
| While modern science has long moved on to create synthetic drugs and genetic altering solutions, the most ancient of sciences understood that the living blood of human beings was a powerful medicine for many ailments including carrying knowledge and power. | ||
| Even today, some practicioners of human sacrifice believe that consuming the blood of a victim allows them to acquired their knowledge. However, there is absolutely no evidence that such an assertion either through physical transference, mind transference or any other effect is factual. | ||
| What is clear is that the human being is very attached to their body and in particular their blood, so one effect that can take place in the consumption of the living flesh and blood of a victim by a powerful mind is that a part of the victim remains (however small) within the sacrificer. Such a physical link can therefore be abused by dark priests to compel the departed mind of a sacrificed victim that they are under their control. | ||
| This is much more the likely scenario for hapless victims of those who sacrifice others in great rituals- in effect "eating" the souls of their victims by creating an elaborate lie that the evil master who sacrificed them holds control of them in the afterlife. | ||
| This kind of belief is much more to be maintained if the victim is younger and not yet wise enough to see such trickery as lies. The formative age for the mind- when it identifies itself as I, yet is not yet fully aware of all the evils of the world is between the ages of 7 and 12. | ||
| The medicinal properties of blood | ||
| While the concepts of "soul eating" and convincing victims they are under control is the art of trickery, there remains strong evidence that living human blood contains natural antibodies and properties that when consumed provide the person who consumes it with access to potential medical benefits. | ||
| because such research is highly controversial and not yet properly undertaken, it is difficult to substantiate such claims scientifically. However, the real issue is that to practicioners of black magic over the millenia, they have believed these things to be true. | ||
| This includes gaining immunity from certain diseases, prolonging life and cures of ailments. | ||
| Thus the stories of vampires and blood suckers is not merely a figment of the imagination of 19th century writers, but is evidenced in folklore and history for hundreds and thousands of years. | ||
| The monsters of the night are none other than the priests and sorcerers who undertook such rituals. | ||
