A key quest for any magician, diviner, priest or priestess is to source that pure insight of the divine that often comes at that point of triumph in such moments as high ritual, deep meditation and dream state. |
| |
The primary goal of almost all magic books is to somehow undertake such rituals and process to obtain this most valuable of treasures. |
| |
The reason for such desire of this nature of the gods is because divine inspiration is the source for art, for music, for great writing, for telling fortunes, for predicting the future and seeking to influence the outcomes of future and present events. |
| |
While the mechanics of divine inspiration is rarely explicitly defined, the principle is assumed to be that knowledge from the world of spirits- the "other side" somehow is transmitted to a willing host, who receives it, usually as images and knowledge in their mind. |
| |
Divine inspiration is therefore a living testament to the existence of some kind of world beyond what we see with our eyes and feel with our senses. |
| |
Parallel to this quest, historically there remains a belief that not all humans have either the capacity nor the "gift" of divine inspiration. Those that do exhibit natural tendencies towards divine inspiration have variously been praised as great men and women, sometimes burned as heretics and witches and frequently locked up as insane. |
| |
But is this gift restricted to a few and is this gift dependent upon ornate and sometimes complicated ritual. |
| |
The mind of all humans is already immortal and already ethereal, therefore it is already intimately connected to the divine mind and part of the divine mind. It is only belief and understanding that restricts our abilities or enhances our abilities to "open our mind" to its interconnected immortal nature. |
| |
Once a person seeking the highest understandings of magic acknowledges that life is a dream and that the mind is already immortal, then divine inspiration is merely a matter of loosening old beliefs and gaining greater understanding of the truth. |
| |
If a person is genuine in their desire for greater wisdom in the art of magic, then no greater work exists than the Journey of UCA. For here is revealed the secrets of the universe, the Universal Mind. |
| |
A person who ignores such wisdom in preference for elaborate rituals of fraud, is a fool who may or may not receive inspiration out of sheer luck. |
| |
Connection to the infinite well of inspiration, of divine knowledge is within the grasp of all who are willing to recognize the truth of great secrets. |
