At the heart of magic is the desire to control, sometimes defy the standard laws of physics that govern everything around us. Over the centuries, may have claimed to do just that. In fact the basis of many religious texts as well as magic texts is that the laws of physics can be broken and have been broken.

Yet for all that is claimed, for all the hocus pocus written by countless claimants of black magic mastery, there is simply no evidence to suggest that the fundamental laws that govern the dream of the universe can be broken even for an instant without the complete fabric of the universe itself also collapsing.

Instead, there appears to be a “back door” where the laws of physics might appear to be broken when in fact they are only “bent” slightly.

The laws of physics (the universal dream) cannot be broken- only focused mind and skill can “bend” them

The art of the great magician from the beginning of time is the art of illusion- the art of changing the appearance of things in the eye of the beholder. Skilled magicians can perform such feats of dazzling power that it can appear to even the most expert of observers they have defied the laws of physics.

Instead of depreciating such skill, a crucially important understanding of the nature of the universe is that only mind itself is free of the laws of physics.

What this means in practicality is that mind can (and in real magic does) bend some of the laws of physics.

Spirits that inhabit the space-time of objects can cause the object to change state, thereby reversing the normal effect of laws to a temporarily abnormal state, thus causing objects to seemingly move on their own.

Objects and actions can appear to occur spontaneously using the same effects of focused mind using the reality of the dream as a canvas.

And of course, magicians can convince an audience of tricks that because the minds of the audience believe it true, it strengthens the reality of the outcome and ipso facto is true.

An arrogant and ignorant practitioner of magic looks outwardly and believes he/she can break the laws of physics. A wise magician looks inward to the strength of mind and the real tangible power of belief that in of itself can change reality without breaking laws.
